I wonder how many youth ministers today comprehend your statement:

I don’t know if I could have stood in front of this group of teenagers in 1978 and told them, “In the next 35 years a couple of you will be dead, some of you will have buried children, many will have gone through a divorce, some of you will have to deal with cancer . . . expect suffering.” I would have been telling them the truth.

What a blast from the past to see these pictures and think of these “kids”. There has truly been a lot of suffering in this group and beautiful examples of their faith. I often think of your ministry here and the many in the group who have gone on to minister in Jesus’ name to so many. You had a tremendous impact on their lives and mine and I know the things learned during those years have helped those who have experienced difficult times. May God continue to bless and use you.
